Managing Director / ABS Syndicate
Beth Starr works at Truist Securities as the Head of Asset Backed Securities Syndicate. Beth has spent over three decades working in the structured finance and securitized credit markets. She began her career at Merrill Lynch and then Lehman Brothers in ABS research, for which she was named to the Institutional Investor All America Research team for seven years. At Lehman Brothers she went on to run distribution and capital markets for esoteric and highly structured ABS, MBS, CLOs, and credit derivatives. She was involved in the creation and introduction of many new asset classes, including aircraft ABS, insurance-linked securities, catastrophe bonds, and whole business securitizations. Beth also spent time in sales at Lehman and Jefferies, and then ran capital markets at two specialty finance lenders, CommonBond and Spruce Finance. Prior to Truist, Beth was responsible for syndicate for both ABS and structured private placement securities at Credit Agricole.
Beth graduated from The Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania with degrees in Finance and Political Science.
